The local Farmers Markets feature a wide range of local organic produce as well as breads, pastries, cakes, cheeses, meats, fish, and other local delicacies.
The occasional International Street Market widens the traders to those from Spain, France, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, and Germany. Liverpool Sound City is a very successful four-day festival and international music conference. Special events, live acts, educational panels, seminars, work shops, and speakers are featured. The 2009 event had over 400 bands from all over the world at 35 different venues throughout the city.
The Leo Casino, with free membership to those over eighteen, has a variety of special events every month including special themes and poker tournaments. You can also hold a private party there.
